Fundraising for Defibrillators at Little Oaks Day Nursery

May 29, 2025

Through the support of our dedicated parents, local businesses, and the community, we have successfully raised funds to install a defibrillator in each of our nursery locations.

Fundraising for Life-Saving Equipment in our Nurseries

At Little Oaks Day Nursery, keeping every child safe and happy is what we’re all about! We’re thrilled to share that, thanks to the incredible support from our amazing parents, local businesses, and the community, we’ve raised enough funds to install a defibrillator at each of our nursery locations. This life-saving equipment means we’re ready to act quickly in case of an emergency.

Why Defibrillators Are Essential for Childcare Settings

A defibrillator is an essential medical device that can be used in emergencies involving sudden cardiac arrest (SCA). Sudden cardiac arrest can happen without warning, and when it does, every second counts. Having a defibrillator on-site gives us the ability to act immediately, greatly increasing the chances of survival for anyone experiencing cardiac arrest.

In a nursery like ours, where children are often engaged in physical activities and excitement, it's crucial to be prepared for any medical emergency.

Our Fundraising Journey: Community Support at Its Best

With the funds raised, we were able to purchase high-quality defibrillators and have them professionally installed at each of our nursery sites across Wolverhampton. This means that, should an emergency arise, our staff can quickly access and use the defibrillators to provide life-saving care while waiting for emergency services to arrive.

We are so grateful for the support from parents, local businesses, and the community to help us reach our target. Every donation has allowed us to implement the medical equipment within our Wolverhampton nurseries, creating a safer environment for all children in our care.

What Does This Mean for Parents?

For parents, knowing that Little Oaks Day Nursery is equipped with defibrillators at each location provides reassurance that we are taking every possible step to protect your child. Our staff are trained in basic first aid, including the use of defibrillators, ensuring that, should an emergency arise, they are fully prepared to respond quickly and effectively.

Support from the Local Community: Thank You

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to our fundraising efforts. Your generosity has directly impacted the safety of the children in our care, and we are extremely grateful for your support.
