What Is a SEN Nursery?

SEN stands for Special Educational Needs, and SEND covers Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. A SEN nursery is a childcare setting where staff are trained to identify, understand and support additional needs from the very start of a child’s early years journey, whether that’s a speech and language delay, autism, a physical disability or a developmental difference.
